What an unforgettable day of football! We are so very proud of our U11 Girls for winning the U11 ISFA National Finals, giving their absolute all and playing some incredible football.

It was an enormous privilege to be able to play in the finals, especially with them being held at the home of English football, St George’s Park.

In the group stage, the Girls played four matches, winning 3 and drawing 2. One match was a particularly impressive performance and an 8-0 victory! In the final match of the group stages, the Girls took a 2-1 win against the reigning champions, Cheadle Hulme.

The results secured second place in the group, setting up a semi-final clash with the top team from the opposite group. Despite an early setback, their determination shone through. By halftime, they led 2-1 and continued their relentless attack in the second half, finishing with a 5-1 victory.

The final saw the Girls face Cheadle Hulme again and the pressure was most definitely on! The Girls showcased some great defence, but Cheadle managed a 1-0 lead at halftime from a penalty. The Girls fought back with an equaliser, with just minutes to go. A brilliant counterattack saw another goal and in the final few minutes, the Girls actioned some crucial defensive decisions to secure our victory!

“Winning the U11 ISFA National Football Championship is an amazing achievement that reflects the hard work that the girls have put in during their morning training sessions in preparation, as well as the talent of our girls’ football team. Throughout the day, their sportsmanship and politeness were exemplary, making them a true credit to Lambrook. It is a day that the girls and their coaches will never forget, marked not just by their victory on the field, but by their outstanding teamwork and determination”Lambrook Coach
