From bake sales to Colour Runs, quizzes, to Food Bank collections, the Lambrook Community has been busily supporting many charity initiatives this Lent term.

Houses choose charities to support:

Under the umbrella of The Lambrook Foundation, each of the four Houses in the Prep School has chosen their own charity to support. Pupils presented information on the charities in assemblies and then the fundraising got underway! The initiative got off to a flying start, with Dewar’s Cake and Cuddly Toy stalls raising £964.34, in support of Helen & Douglas House.

The second of the House Charity Days took place in Arctic conditions, with a freezing wind whipping through the Quad, but this did not deter Athlone! With cakes, a Quiz against Year 8 pupils and a bracelet sale, pupils raised £886.08 for the Alexander Devine Hospice.

We look forward to Goodhart (supporting Manor Green School) and Alexander (The Hygiene Bank) running their first fundraising events next term.

A fantastic Colour Run for Macmillan

The Lambrook Community joined together to take part in a colour run, all raising thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Foodbank Collections

We are grateful to the Lambrook Community for their generous donations in support of Windsor Foodshare.

Minibus Appeal for Hope Valley Farm School in South Africa

As part of the work of the Lambrook Foundation, this week saw the official launch of a Partnership appeal, raising money for our Partner School, Hope Valley Farm School in South Africa. One of the items that they are currently in need of is a School minibus, which comes at a cost of £25,000. Pupils across the School have been invited to design a logo to go on the side of the minibus, with the winning design featuring on the purchased minibus! Pupils have also been tasked with coming up with their own fundraising enterprises over the Easter holiday period to raise additional funds and we look forward to following their endeavours.

Sport on Tour

Our Cricket and Netball teams are also raising funds for the Barbados charity Variety, as part of their upcoming sports tour and they look forward to visiting the charity and a school it supports during their stay.
