Our Schools’ Partnership programme in the local area continues to go from strength to strength. One of the highlights for Lambrook staff and pupils is the opportunity to host schools on site for a morning or day, using a subject area or theme.

It was therefore a privilege to welcome our next door neighbour school to Lambrook on Monday for a jam-packed morning of Design and Technology and lots of sport.

Fuelled by a Lambrook healthy breakfast in the Dining Room, they were ready and raring to go! The pupils were divided into two groups, each focusing on a different activity, with the opportunity to swap over after a break. After watching an example Rocket Launch, the children designed and made their very own rockets.

It was then time to put their rockets to the test, watching them fly incredibly high!

The other group of pupils headed to the Swimming Pool, where they had the opportunity to develop their confidence in the water and build on their swimming skills. After a swap around, and a chance to take part in the other activity, the group came together for a giant game of capture the flag.

“I loved the game with everyone at the end: it was tiring but a lot of fun!”Pupil

There was a very happy lunchtime as pupils spent time chatting with Lambrook pupils over a BBQ and then enjoyed cricket, football and playing in the grounds.

“The children and staff came back absolutely buzzing (the rest of us were very jealous!). Thank you so much for arranging it all – I can’t tell you how much we appreciate it.” Visiting Headteacher
