Gap Assistants
Lambrook Gap Assistants are employed from January until December. Occasionally places are available to start in September.
A Gap Assistant is part of a support team that works within the school and in the boarding houses to ensure the welfare and happiness of the children from January through to December. GAs support teaching staff in the classroom, fulfil a wide range of everyday duties across the Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep School settings as well as being part of the boarding teams caring for the children in the evenings. The GA must work in conjunction with the policies of the school and is responsible for being familiar with them.
The GA needs to communicate professionally and confidently with all staff, children and at times parents. The GA Tutor is the direct line manager and liaises with the House Parents.
Lower School Teacher
Lambrook seeks a dynamic and engaging Lower School teacher to teach a form across a range of subjects from the Key Stage 2 curriculum. The successful applicant will be able to enthuse and inspire all pupils, be a supportive and understanding pastoral from tutor and have a passion for the core subjects. We also expect the candidate to make a wide contribution to the life of this busy, exciting and successful school.
While this post is a Monday to Friday role, there is an expectation that the successful candidate would be able to commit to several Saturdays over the course of the year to attend and help run various events.

Head of Theology, Philosophy and Religion (TPR)
Lambrook is looking for enthusiastic and committed applicants to teach Religious Studies (RS) and Theology, Philosophy and Religion (TPR) to highly motivated pupils in a collaborative and capable department. Our curriculum is exhilarating and enables creative practice for teachers and pupils alike. The School has an enviable reputation for academic and all-round excellence feeding many of the top senior schools in the country. The role is likely to also include being a Form Tutor in the Prep School.
Lambrook’s RS / TPR curriculum is devised by the Humanities team at Lambrook. Reflecting Lambrook’s approach, the syllabus is varied, exciting, topical and under constant collaborative review.
Lambrook offers lessons on Saturdays to pupils from Years 5-8, and the successful candidate would be expected to attend Saturday school. A half-day will be allocated during the week to compensate for this time.

Lambrook’s English curriculum is based upon the Common Entrance syllabus. Reflecting Lambrook’s approach, the syllabus is varied, exciting, topical and under constant collaborative review. We help children to develop their emotional vocabulary as responsive readers, alongside an analytical approach to the author’s craft. We encourage
ambition and risk-taking in their own work.
